Organization, User, and Entity Management
- Within the platform, we separate authorized entities into three primary roles, users, administrators, and devices. Each of these entities has corresponding permissions that restrict their capabilities. This enables us to restrict features such as organization management to administrators and limit specific endpoints within the API to specific roles.
- Access manager provides token-based authorization, allowing granular read and write access control at the user, device, channel, or key level.
- From users to vehicles, our platform supports storing customized information specific to our enterprise customers. We start with a baseline of the following information, which is stored for each entity and then expand the data set based on specific requirements such as remote personal profiles, driver behavior evaluation, and relationships to other objects such as logs and past trip information.
Secure bi-directional communication
- The SDKs that are used for transferring data bi-directionally from the edge to the cloud have built-in cryptographic libraries, enabling automatic encryption of message payloads with AES256.
- Configure limitations on how much bandwidth a device can use and what networks the device should use to transport which data. For example, send small events over cellular and upload logs when the system has wifi connectivity.
